Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable)

Location: Sydney or Melbourne (hybrid)

Employment: Part-time

 

Purpose of role

The purpose of this role is to support the Finance Manager with the day-to-day finance related tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable processes and expenses reports.
  • Manage Corporate travel and individual expense claims
  • Monitor and maintain accounts@tem emails
  • Reconcile Xero accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Streamline and automate processes where possible
  • Assist with ad hoc projects within the business
  • Provide back-up support for the Finance Manager
  • Support general administration matters to support the finance function
  • Input information for monthly management reporting
  • Contribute to other ad hoc business initiatives and tasks

Other duties

Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.

Your skills & experience

The successful candidate will have sound business acumen and conceptual thinking skills whilst being passionate about being part of a high performing team that has a reputation and track record within the carbon market. Key attributes include:

  • Accurate book-keeping
  • Timely reconciling and processing expenses
  • Accurate and efficient raising of invoices
  • Manage Accounts team inbox and action all requests in a timely manner

Ideal experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years book-keeping experience
  • Experience using Xero accounting software
  • Understanding of finance administration tools to process expenses
  • Experience with complex business structures
