Which emissions methodologies does BlueHalo™ use?
Calculations draw on recognised methodologies including DEFRA emissions factors, ICAO for aviation, the GLEC Framework for freight, the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI) for accommodation, and New Zealand’s Ministry for the Environment factors. Methodologies are reviewed and updated as the underlying science and reporting standards evolve.

Every project available through BlueHalo™ has been through Tasman Environmental Markets’ internal due diligence process before it reaches a portfolio. TEM is Asia-Pacific’s largest buyer of voluntary Australian offsets and has been assessing and transacting carbon projects since 2014.
