Bjorn Everts

Bjorn’s extensive background within sustainable development, technology and Indigenous led conservation throughout Australia and overseas complements his expertise in renewable energy project development and nature-based solutions.

Bringing sixteen years’ experience to his current role as Partnerships Manager for Mining and Resources at Tasman Environmental Markets, Bjorn facilitates and supports the decarbonisation of Australia’s mining industry towards a climate positive future.

Prior to TEM, Bjorn successfully held roles within both the private and government sectors. More recently as the Manager of Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations for the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation, a $2 billion fund set up to assist Indigenous people with the acquisition and management of land for economic, environmental, social and cultural impact.

Bjorn’s achievements are further credited through spending five years as the CEO of the Karrkad Kanjdji Trust, a multi award-winning not-for-profit organisation supporting Indigenous led conservation, education, cultural heritage management and carbon abatement across northern Australia.

Holding a Master’s Degree, MSc in Sustainable Development from Royal Holloway, University of London amongst other studies within education, psychology and governance, Bjorn is committed to our transition to a decarbonised economy.
