Kate McBean

Kate is an accomplished environmental practitioner with 15 years’ experience delivering a range of environmental services to address complex regulatory requirements, whilst maximising positive ecological, social and economic outcomes.

A key focus of her career has been the delivery of biodiversity offsets for major projects. She is regarded as one of the pioneers of the sector in Australia, having established some of the country’s largest biodiversity offset programs. With a Bachelor of Environmental Management, Kate also has a strong background in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), regulatory approvals and compliance, and environmental management across a diverse range of industries.

As TEM’s Carbon Projects Manager Kate is driven to develop innovative offset solutions contributing to the net-zero transition, as well as the conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems. She is passionate about working collaboratively with farmers, First Nations people, corporates and local communities to deliver high quality offset projects throughout Australian landscapes.
